I developed a fascination for languages and writing early in my childhood. When I was little I wrote fairytales, in my early teens I was infatuated with romance stories, but it was during my first year at university, when I read The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum and Our Man in Havana by Graham Greene, that I discovered my passion for thrillers and spy novels. I was fascinated by the complex plots, thrilling twists, layered characters and insightful explorations of real world issues.
As a political economist and advisor at an international financial institution I spend my daily life at the intersection of economics and what you can grandly dub “world affairs”. It’s these issues that form the backbone of my books and I always hope that my readers will finish my stories not only with a feeling of having been entertained, but with the knowledge that they have learned something.
